music by Lightnin' Wells

Dedicated to the development of new and significant works in the performing arts, The Process Series features professionally mounted, developmental performances of new works in progress.

The mission of the series is to illuminate the ways in which artistic ideas take form, to follow artists and performers as they explore and discover, and to examine the unique creative process for each artist presented.

All performances in The Process Series take place in Gerrard Hall. Each performance is free and open to the public. Post-performance discussions are a critical component of the series.  We encourage you to attend these performances with an open mind and stay after to participate in a dialogue about the piece.

The Process Series is a collaborative effort by the Office of the Executive Director for the Arts with numerous campus departments and organizations, including the Department of Dramatic Art, Department of Communication Studies, the Institute for Arts and Humanities, and others.

For more information about The Process Series or to get involved, please email performingarts@unc.edu or call the Office of the Executive Director for the Arts at (919) 843-7776.
